What is Grade My Ex?

Grade My Ex is a social review app that allows users to grade/rate and review their ex-partners family,or friends, both anonymously or nonanonymously.

Grade My Ex empowers users to build safer relationships by offering access to pertinent information about potential partners or friends. Our focus is on enhancing the physical and mental well-being of individuals navigating the dating landscape.

The goal of the app GME in the future is to make all of us more conscious of how we treat those we choose to have relationships with and to hold each of us accountable for our actions in a positive way. 

 

Why should I use Grade My Ex?

Our app provides a platform for people to share their experiences, warn others about potentially good or toxic partners, and help users make informed decisions about their current or future relationships.

 

Can I post anonymously?

Yes, you can choose to post anonymously. Your identity will not be disclosed, and your review will be attributed to a pseudonym(Anonymous). .

 

How do I create a new entry (Add a Person)in the database?

A: To add a new person, go to the Search Bar and select "Add Person". Provide the correct name and sufficient details for accurate identification. You may add someone even if their precise date of birth or age isn't known. Providing a general age range ("ballpark") is necessary. If the exact date of birth is unknown, leave the field blank or fill in only the known parts (e.g., month/year).

 

What criteria can I use to grade my ex?

You can rate your ex-partner, family member, or a friend, based on various categories, such as communication, trust, intimacy,communication, generosity, and more. You will also be afforded a chance to write freely about a person using a text box. Please be as kind and honest as possible. Yes, there is a way to be kind while stating facts about a negative experience with a person. We have added any automatic AI feature to assist with chancing the language of negative comments.  

 

Can I edit or delete my review?

Yes, you can edit or delete your review at any time. Please note that deleting a review will also remove any associated comments, the ratings results will stay but not associated with you. .

 

Safety and Moderation

How do you moderate reviews and ratings?

 

Our team reviews all submissions for adherence to our community guidelines. We strive to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all users. We also included AI to monitor and convert any negative defamatory comments to non-defamatory comments. 

 

What if I see a review that violates the community guidelines or are lies about me?

 

Please report the review to our moderation team using the in-app reporting feature(Red Flag). We will investigate and take necessary actions when appropriate. 

 

Are we working on new features?

 

Yes, we are continuously updating the app to meet the needs and desires of our users. These are a few things users have mentioned that we are developing:

 

• Receiving Notifications when someone you added is commented on. 

• Option to select Other or Non-Binary in the on-boarding area. 

• Ability to add audio as an option instead of writing.

Is Grade My Ex available for both iOS and Android?

 

Yes, our app is available for download on both the App Store and Google Play Store.

We take user data and privacy seriously. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information on how we collect, use, and protect user data. We do not sell any of your information to third parties. 

 

Can I opt out of being found on the Grade My Ex app?

 

Not at this time, however, it is a feature we are considering in the future as an in-app purchase. As of now, the profiles are user generated and strive to promote fairness and equality.

This app aims to promote positivity and mental growth by encouraging honest and kind reflection on relationships. Even when feedback is difficult to hear, sharing the full truth is encouraged. To ensure a focus on growth, always include a positive aspect of your relationship partner, acknowledging the reasons you initially connected. If you sign up for the app and rate someone, does that mean others can see who you are and rate you?

 

No, signing up and rating someone does not automatically mean others can see your profile and rate you.

Consider this:

 

• People can only be graded/rated if added to the app's rating list.

• You can only be graded/rated if someone else adds your name and information to that list.

• If you only use the app to view information, nobody can grade/rate you.

• You don't need the app to be added to the list and potentially graded/rated by other users.

Can I add someone’s photo to confirm the person I am adding?

 

Yes, when you add a person, there is a camera symbol at the top center of the screen. Once you tap that, it opens your camera roll to add a photo of that person. Please do not add a photo that violates the user agreement i.e. photos that include but not limited to nudity, display of firearm, display of weapons, drugs or drug use, any hint of violence, photos with any personal identifiers (Home address, phone numbers, license plates, email addresses, social media handles, photos of celebrities, photos with profanity text, and photos of alcohol usage. . 

 

Is it possible to search for unfamiliar names to find information about strangers?

 

Not at this time, because the purpose of this application is to find or add exactly who you are looking for, the intention is not for users to have access to see everyone who is graded or added to the platform.  However, we do provide 10 profiles on the home screen that are the top 10 profiles searched in the last 30 days. Those profiles are available to be freely viewed by anyone.
